With these Zap templates, you can use Zapier to connect Anchor with Microsoft Teams so your team gets an automatic message in a channel or chat whenever something important happens in Anchor.
There are 8 separate Zap templates, each covering a different Anchor event. You can set up as many or as you'd like:
Proposal Sent — notifies when a new proposal is sent to a client.
Proposal Reviewed — notifies when a client reviews a proposal.
Proposal Approved — notifies when a client approves a proposal.
Amendment Approved — notifies when a client approves an amendment to an agreement.
Invoice Issued — notifies when a new invoice is issued.
Invoice Paid — notifies when an invoice is paid (deposited to you).
Invoice Failed — notifies when an invoice fails.
Payout Deposited — notifies when a payout is deposited to your account.
Since Anchor's Zapier integration is directly connected to our API, you can include data from the proposals/invoices/payouts you are being notified about, such as Anchor links, in the body of the notification message.
📣 Note: This integration is in beta. If you run into any issues or have questions, reach out to us at [email protected].
Setup
First, open the template for the notification you want to set up using one of the links below:
1. Getting started
Click Use this template. Name your Zap and choose which folder you wish to save it in. Click Next to move through the guided setup.
2. Connect your apps
Anchor — Connect with an API key and email address. Generate a key under Home → Integrations → API Keys at https://app.sayanchor.com/home/integrations/api-keys. Make sure the email address is already a team member with admin or owner permissions in your Anchor account.
Microsoft Teams — click Select, then connect your account if you haven't already.
3. Fields
Step 1 — the trigger. Fires automatically on every sent proposal, nothing to configure here.
Step 2, Send Channel Message (or Send Chat Message):
Team / Channel or Chat — choose the destination from the dropdown.
Message Text Format — set to Markdown.
Message Text — a default notification template is pre-filled for you. Feel free to edit the wording however you'd like. You can include live data from Anchor.
4. Review and publish
Once Zapier confirms all steps are set up, click Publish. From here on, you will receive a notification in Teams every time your trigger event happens in Anchor.
