You can use Zapier to connect Anchor with Zoho CRM so that new leads or contacts in Zoho automatically become matching contacts in Anchor, keeping both systems in sync. We currently offer two Zap templates for Zoho CRM, described below. Both work practically the same way, the only difference is which Zoho CRM module triggers the Zap.
π£ Note: These integrations are in beta and require a paid Zoho CRM plan. If you run into any issues or have questions, reach out to us at [email protected].
Template 1: Create a contact in Anchor on a new Zoho CRM contact
Template 1: Create a contact in Anchor on a new Zoho CRM contact
What this Zap does
Whenever a new contact is added in Zoho CRM, this Zap checks whether a matching contact already exists in Anchor. If it doesn't, it automatically creates one using the information from Zoho.
First, open the Zap template here and follow the steps along. You can refer to this article for guidance.
Important note: This Zap uses Zoho CRM's "New Module Entry" instant trigger, which requires a paid Zoho CRM plan. If you're on Zoho's free plan, you'll need to upgrade before you can use this template.
Before you start
Make sure your Zoho CRM contacts have the fields Anchor needs to create a contact: first name, last name, email, and an account name (this is used as the business name).
Setting up the Zap
1. Getting started
Click Use this template. Name your Zap and choose which folder you wish to save it in. Click Next to move through the guided setup.
2. Connect your apps
Zoho CRM β connect your account, or select an existing connection if you already have one.
Anchor β click Select and select your account if you've connected Anchor to Zapier already. If you haven't, click Connect a new account. You'll be asked for:
API Key β generate this from Integrations > API keys in your Anchor account.
Email β the email of an Anchor team member with admin or owner permissions.
3. Fields
This template has four steps:
Step 1, New Module Entry in Zoho CRM β this is pre-set to trigger on the Contacts module. Nothing to configure here.
Step 2, List Contacts in Anchor β this pulls your existing Anchor contacts. Nothing to configure here.
Step 3, Filter conditions β Change the condition to "Does not contain". This will make it so the Zap only continues creating a contact if a contact with that email address does not exist in Anchor yet. if you want to match by business name or full name, you will be able to change the condition to do so after publishing the Zap and testing it once after creating a Zoho contact, which will show all the mappable data from Zoho that you can use for the condition.
Step 4, Create Contact in Anchor β this is already mapped to pull First Name, Last Name, Email, and Company Name from the Zoho contact. Nothing to configure here.
Important note: You'll see several values in yellow. This is because until the Zap is published and tested, Zapier does not have test values for the yellow fields. You can confirm that everything is mapped correctly after publishing the Zap by creating a contact and doing a test run.
4. Review and publish
Once Zapier confirms all steps are set up, click Publish.
5. Test
Create a contact in Zoho and confirm the Zap is working properly. You can make adjustments to the Zap by opening it and clicking "Edit".
From this point on, every new contact in Zoho CRM will create a matching Anchor contact.
Important note: If a matching contact in Anchor already exists, the Zap will stop to prevent duplicates.
