Keeping your contacts list clean and organized is easy with Anchor's bulk actions. Whether you're archiving contacts you're no longer working with or removing ones that were added by mistake, here's everything you need to know.
How to Use Bulk Actions
Select Your Contacts
Head to your Contacts page and use the checkboxes next to each contact to select the ones you'd like to manage. You can select as many as you need.
Open Bulk Actions
Once you've made your selection, click the Bulk actions dropdown button that appears at the top right of the list.
Choose Your Action Select either Archive or Delete from the menu:
Archive - Hides the contact from your active list while keeping their data safe and accessible whenever you need it (for example, for Xero/QuickBooks mapping).
Delete - Permanently removes the contact from your account.
A Few Things to Know
Bulk actions process each contact independently - if one contact can't be actioned, the rest of your selection won't be affected. You'll see a clear summary in the results modal showing exactly what happened and why.
Archiving
A contact can't be archived (in bulk or individually) if they have an active agreement with you. "Active" includes any agreement that hasn't been terminated - so completed and amended agreements count too.
On top of that, a contact can't be bulk archived if they have:
A proposal awaiting their approval
A draft proposal in progress
These contacts can still be archived individually - just not bulk archived.
Deleting
A contact can't be deleted if they have any agreement history - even terminated ones. This is intentional: if you've had a real business relationship with someone, that history stays intact for your records and compliance peace of mind.
