With Zapier you can connect Anchor to other apps that you use to run your business.

For example, create a new sales invoice in Zoho Books when an invoice is issued in Anchor.

Start creating zaps easily via the Anchor - Zoho Books in Zapier.

Create a new sales invoice when an invoice is issued

Part 1: Set up the trigger

  1. In Zapier, click the Create Zap button

  2. On the next page, in the Trigger section, search for Anchor

  3. Choose Invoice Issued as the event

  4. You will be prompted to connect your Anchor account (or select it, if a connection is established already). Go ahead and do that. When you’re done, you’ll see something like this:

5. The next step is to test the trigger. You won't need to issue an invoice since we've prepared sample data for you. This is what it should look like:

Part 2: Set up the action

  1. Search for Zoho Books, then choose the event Create Sales Invoice

  2. Connect your account just like you did with Anchor. This is where you'll use Zapier to tell Zoho Books what to do whenever a new invoice is issued on Anchor.

  3. Map Anchor invoice data to your Zoho Books Invoice. This is the most complicated step, and your setup may vary from the screenshot attached.

Below you’ll find a description of the mandatory pieces of data in order to set up this zap, which you can tweak for your own process.

Each field has placeholders - e.g., Client Business Name. When you click on a field, you’ll see all the Anchor data that you can map to it.

Let’s look at how the above was set up;

  • Organization: Anchor appears in the dropdown menu as the tool to pull information from

  • Customer Name: We mapped the client business name (selection is based on your business setup)

  • Invoice Date: The issue date appears in Anchor

  • Due Date: The due date appears in Anchor

Line Items

  • Item name: the services specified in the invoice

  • Rate: Item's final amount as specified in the invoice (including a discount if applicable)

Finally, test this action to make sure everything is set up correctly.

📣 Important note: If you are testing this with sample data, it will send this request immediately to your Zoho account. Alternatively, you can skip the test and hit publish.

Click the Publish button to turn on your zap. If you can't find a Publish button, you might see a toggle at the top right of your screen to switch the zap on.

And you’re done!
