What is the Anchor Claude Connector?
The Anchor Claude Connector lets you use Claude AI (from Anthropic) as a direct interface into your Anchor account. Instead of navigating the Anchor app manually, you can ask Claude questions, give it instructions, and it will interact with your proposals, agreements, contacts, invoices, payouts and more on your behalf.
Examples of what you can ask Claude:
- "List all my pending proposals and tell me which ones are expiring soon."
- "Create a new proposal for Acme Corp based on my Website Redesign template."
- "Show me all unpaid invoices from the last 30 days."
- "Add a monthly retainer service to the draft I'm working on for Smith & Co."
- "Withdraw the Johnson proposal so I can make edits, then update the pricing."
Requirements
- An active Anchor Service Provider account
- Access to Claude Desktop or Claude.ai (Claude.ai Pro, Team, or Enterprise plan required for Connector access)
How to connect
On Claude Desktop
1. Open Claude Desktop and go to Settings (gear icon).
2. Select Connectors from the left menu.
3. Click Add Connector.
4. Enter the Anchor connector URL: https://mcp.app.sayanchor.com/mcp.
5. Click Add.
6. Click Connect, Claude will redirect you to Anchor to sign in and authorize access.
7. Log in with your Anchor credentials, choose the business to connect to (if your user has access to more than a single business on Anchor), and click Allow.
Once authorized, you'll see Anchor listed as an active connector in your Claude Desktop settings.
On Claude.ai
1. Open Claude.ai and start a new conversation.
2. Click the Integrations or Connectors icon in the toolbar (plus icon).
3. Search for Anchor or click Add Custom Connector.
4. If adding a custom connector, enter: https://mcp.app.sayanchor.com/mcp.
5. Click Connect, follow the authorization prompts to sign in to your Anchor account and grant access to the business of your choosing (if your user has access to more than a single business on Anchor).
Once connected, Anchor tools will be available in that conversation automatically.

Note: Financial transfers (charging clients, adding credit) are not available through the Connector. These actions still require manual action in the Anchor app.
Tips for best results
Be specific about which record you mean. Claude will search your account to find matches, but the more context you give (client name, agreement name, proposal title), the faster and more accurately it can act.
Use it for multi-step workflows. Claude can chain actions together. For example, it can find the right template, create a draft from it, add a service, and publish it to the client, all in one conversation.
Review before confirming high-impact actions. Some actions (publishing a proposal, withdrawing a proposal, terminating a service) are flagged as significant changes. Claude will describe what it's about to do; confirm or cancel before it proceeds.
Check Claude's work. Check Claude's work. After Claude creates or updates a record, you can ask it to read the result back (e.g. "Show me the draft you just created") to verify before publishing.
Troubleshooting
Claude says it can't find my Anchor tools / "no tools available"
The connector may not be authorized. Go to Claude Desktop → Settings → Connectors (or the Integrations panel on Claude.ai) and verify that Anchor appears in your active connectors. If not, re-add it and complete the sign-in flow.
I authorized the connector but Claude still can't access my account
Try removing the Anchor connector and re-adding it. This triggers a fresh authorization. Make sure you're signing in with the correct Anchor account.
Claude returns an error when trying to take an action
Claude will explain the error in plain language. Common causes include:
- Draft is in the wrong mode (e.g., trying to add a package to a flat-service draft; ask Claude to clear the services first).
- Proposal is already approved; amendments to signed agreements use a different flow than editing pending proposals.
- Invalid date format. If you specify dates, use clear formats like "May 15, 2026" and let Claude handle the conversion.
I connected the Anchor Connector but don't see Anchor tools in Claude.ai
Connectors are available on Claude.ai Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans. Free plan users will need to upgrade or use Claude Desktop.

Yes. The Connector uses OAuth 2.0, so Claude never sees your Anchor password. Access is scoped to your account only, and you can revoke the connection at any time from Claude Desktop → Settings → Connectors → Anchor → Disconnect.

Claude can publish a proposal (which sends it to the client for approval), but it will describe the action before executing it. We recommend reviewing the draft with "Show me the draft" before asking Claude to publish and leaving the permissions of sensitive tools as `Needs Approval`.
